Scouting sessions can be conducted in multiple ways. It is possible to manually input data into the dashboard, where all pests, beneficials, diseases, and pollination in the greenhouse are scouted, and the values can then be typed in. Additionally, the Horiver Scanner, integrated into the Natutec Scout mobile application, can be used to scout whiteflies. With the mobile phone, a photo can be taken of one or more Horiver cards hanging in the greenhouse or outdoors. The application then automatically calculates the presence of whiteflies on the Horiver card. The third method is to count the values from a Horiver card and then enter them into the mobile application. The fourth method is to make an observation, similar to manual input. The difference between the two is that manual input is done in the dashboard, while the observation is done via the mobile application.

Manual Input

Manual input can be done in the dashboard of the Natutec Scout app. To do this, go to Scouting Sessions in the left menu of the dashboard. In the Scouting Sessions menu, there is a "Manual Input" button in the upper right.

Counting from Horiver Card

With this input method, the values of pests and/or natural enemies present on the Horiver card are determined by personal observation and counting.

Horiver Scanner

For some crops, whiteflies are a significant pest. Counting them on trap cards is a time-consuming task that also requires scouts to recognize whiteflies. With the Horiver Scanner of Natutec Scout, any scout can take a photo of the trap card, and artificial intelligence automatically counts the whiteflies on the Horiver card. In the future, more pest insects will be added to the Horiver Scanner. When a new pest insect is added, a notification will be sent.
