The next step is to create one or more locations. The grower fills in the "Business Location Name, address, postcode, city, and country." There is also an option to choose "All departments of this location have the same crop, scout preferences, and threshold values." Additional information about this option can be found by clicking on the link mentioned under this option. Note that when this option is chosen, it cannot be modified after creating the location. The location will appear in the "Locations" menu in the right menu of the dashboard after creation.
Location details
Fill in the requested fields under location details. Please note that if an outdoor department is added to this location, satellite images will be displayed based on the address provided in the Address field when creating the location.
All Departments of This Location Have the Same Crop, Scout Preferences, and Threshold Values
As the last option, the checkbox "All departments of this location have the same crop, scout preferences, and threshold values" is available. Check this option only if all crops in all departments falling under this location are the same, including for future departments that may be added later. Be aware that once this option is selected and the location is created, it cannot be changed afterward. This option ensures that all templates for scout preferences and threshold values are linked. If a scout preference is added or modified in one department, it automatically applies to all departments. Therefore, if it cannot be determined with certainty that all crops will be the same, exercise caution before checking this option.
